On How It All Connects
You read that right. I had my first standup “gig” last night at Dr.Dremos comedy club in Arlington, Virginia. It was a fun time. Very difficult to make people laugh using good clean comedy when every other joe shmoe is dropping the f-bomb like Dick Cheney.
In any case. This video is being posted after much demand. Watch, enjoy, and definitely leave your comments! :)
P.S. I’ll upload a better video insh’Allah tomorrow or the next day.

Thanks for plugging me Yaser. It was my first time and definitely a little nerve-wracking at the start, but slowly you cool into the audience and the nervousness turns to adrenaline!
Insh’Allah I’ll go again sometime, I’m in DC for at least another month and a half, and there are ample opportunities out here for this sort of thing.

Hahaha… fantastic! Yeah that Metro rocks… you had me cracking up.

Thanks Nova! I know that most of the jokes are DC-specific, so I’m trying to working a few more general angles to my comedy.

Yeah my English accent stuck with me despite moving from England at such a young age, primarily because my father is British and spoke with his British accent around the house.
I still developed an American accent as well though, and it’s been a fun thing with my friends who tell me I can’t have two accents.
Which really I don’t understand because, well, Nicole Kidman does it.
